Esposito: A Suite of Seven Haikus

It's total darkness.
It is without form and void;
leading into light.

Bitter winter cold
The color of white; but black
melatone's best friend.

The black lump of coal;
rough, rigid, weird, yet unique
turns to a diamond.

Sparks fly in eyes
Only thing you see in black
Attraction grows fast.

Dark and lovely hair;
beautiful in every way.
I knew twas God sent.

Brought from higher love.
It does not see a color.
It sees true beauty.

Soil and earthly ground.
Then out came Esposito...
A real true black gem.
